Have there been conspiracies in the past; uh, have we forgotten Watergate or Clinton’s non sex with an intern? What about Roswell’s UFO crash, the New World Order, the lists go on from there.
But the one I never quite understood; the 9/11 conspiracy. Wikipedia says that there are a mere 615,000 links to various servings of the 9/11 conspiracy, that’s a bucket load.
The conspiracy arguments seem to follow along these lines,
• Bush was deliberately planning a conflict with Iraq
• Foreknowledge by the Bush admin, informed investors, Mossad, Pakistani Intelligence and other countries
• Our Defenses were hindered, NORAD was supposedly shut down, and military exercises provided a cloud of confusion enabling the attack
• The FAA attempted a cover up
• Dick Cheny’s order to shoot down the plane, wasn’t and if it was given, it was after the fact
• The World Trade center was collapsed by controlled explosives and not fuel laden passenger aircraft use as guided missiles
• The Pentagon was not hit by a Boeing 757 or that it was hit by the aircraft because the military stand down allowed it to be struck
• Poor frame rate of films of the incident are useless and fan the flames of conspiracy, never mind the debris field of aircraft pieces
• Nobody liked the debris field at the Pentagon, it wasn’t right
• The flight recorder had a three minute discrepancy and not all were recovered
• Even the autopilot was dragged into the argument
• Hijackers were not typical Islamic terrorists with religious motivations
• Cell phones were used and conspiracy theorist say that’s not possible, since when
• Bin Laden reluctantly assumed responsibility for the attack
Did rogue elements of the US and Mossad joint venture this operation and a means to initiate action against Iraq?
Did Pakistani Intelligence help fund the attack?
Did the Saudi’s provide funding in addition to participating highjackers?
Will President Bush ever own up to masterminding the World Trade Center attack using mind control techniques developed by the CIA upon hapless Arabs and cash strapped airlines?
So, here we are, at the place where you can amaze me with your brilliance and help me sort out this mess; I'm lost in the maze.
